Manny Ramirez Screwed Himself

Ok so I don't often talk sports here despite the fact I'm a huge fan. Manny Ramirez, one of the most feared sluggers in the game, and probably one of the most eccentric personalities baseball has ever seen may have screwed himself worse than any major leaguer in history.

He told friends he wanted to make 25 million a year for six seasons, which may have been a farsighted of him. Ramirez is 36, which is already the back end of the prime of his career, who knows how good of a player he will be when he's 42, not a 25 million dollar man at least. So what happens when he gets a more then fair offer of 2 years 46 million from LA? He turns it down and laughs.

The Yankees were his next suitor, but his douche bag agent Scott Boras wouldn't sign him up for the Yankees three year deal, and they signed Mark Teixera, a much younger, power hitter, who's still well in his prime.

Other teams interested? San Fransisco (not enough money), Washington Nationals (not prestigious enough), The Mets (are done with Boras). So where does that leave Manny for now? Sitting on his ass doing absolutely nothing, and loving it.

Late Night Cartoon Network

So this is what my life has become. Prior to starting my current job with Nabisco I stayed up to all hours of the night doing whatever, but since I've had to start waking up at 7am or 8am 4 days a week, with working valet friday and saturday nights, I've gone from going to bed at 3 or 4 every morning to barely making it past midnight.

Well I've made it past midnight, just barely, and I've realized I love Cartoon Network after Family Guy and Robot Chicken. Metalacolypse is awesome, and they have a CD...which is pretty fun, and metalicious. Now Boondocks is on, and despite it's anime inspired art work, this show totally kicks ass, and Riley is the man. Ok well, I'm gonna head off to sleep...or at least watch Boondocks and try and continue to spam someone on facebook. Peace
